The popularity of using rigid foam sheets as a source of insulation is increasing. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, foam insulation helps to save more than 200 times the energy needed to make them. Not only is this a more environmentally friendly option, but it helps you save money by lowering the cost of your energy bill.  With less air leaking and a lower transfer of heat between the outside and inside environments, you won’t need to crank up the furnace during those long winter months. This is great news if you’re in the business of manufacturing foam insulation. With a versatile and robust CNC machine like the AXYZ Infinite, you can cut a variety of foam materials in a variety of thicknesses, helping you tap into a lucrative market that shows no sign of slowing down.

WHY CHOOSE THE INFINITE?

Rigid foam sheets are used to insulate walls, roofs, foundations, retrofits and new construction.  You can even use it to insulate a variety of different pipelines. With this kind of versatility, a robust and versatile CNC machine is a must. Here’s why the Infinite Router should be at the top of your list.

  • A Variety of Cutting Tools to Maximize Flexibility

Foam sheets are sold in several thicknesses, ranging anywhere from ½ inch to 6 inches thick. Depending on its intended use, you’ll need the right type of cutting tool to get the job done properly. If you’re cutting pockets, use a router bit. For full depth profile cutting, an oscillating knife is the best solution.

  • Process Areas Customized to Specific Requirements

Choose from a wide variety of standard and custom sizes. With process areas up to 128” wide by 50′ long and beyond, we offer solutions to suit your exact application and budget.

  • Easier Hold Down Options for Porous Material

Some foams are light and porous, making them tricky to hold down securely while cutting. The Infinite is available with either a Vacuum Pump or Blower, eliminating the need to use plastic film or clasps to keep your material from flying off the table.
